Welcome to the Joyful Stars September Blog Hop. Thanks so much for joining us today. If you are coming from Michelle's Blog then you are on the right track. If you get lost along the way, you can find a complete list of participants on Joyce's Blog. Today, I have two cards to show you. They both use the new Shaker Window and Confetti Thin Cuts and Shaker Window Foam and Acetate. These products make shakers cards so easy and addicting too!
The first cards uses the new Hello Pumpkin paper. It is a very versatile paper pack - it is not just for Halloween. So I decided to make a Disney theme shaker card. I cut the top of the "shaker" and two additional circles out of Black Glitter Paper to make a "mouse" head. The sentiment is from a retired stamp set. It was just too perfect not to use it!
The second card uses the new 'Tis the Season Paper Packet. The shaker portion is "hung" on the card like an ornament with the fabulous New England Ivy Burlap Ribbon. I used the Silver Sequins and colored them red and green with my Shin Han Markers!

Both great cards, Betty. I've colored pearls and sparkles but never thought to color sequins.

Oh FUN Betty!! Shaker cards are my new favorite and I love what you did with yours! :)
ReplyDeleteCute shaker cards, Betty! Love them both!
ReplyDeleteSuch fun cards! I love Mickey!
ReplyDeleteI love these cards and how you've thought outside the box! I will definitely need to try coloring sequins! And I love how you used the circle shape as more than just a simple circle in both of these cards by making them as part of the design! Great cards!
