Cupcake Favors

Here are the cute favors I made for the attendees at my monthly crop.  The sunflowers were made using the Exclusive CTMH Flower Market Cartridge.

The cupcakes are chocolate cake with chocolate frosting and crumbled Oreo cookies to make it look like dirt.

The plastic "cups" are a retired product and they are filled with chocolate covered sunflower seeds.  The sticks are called 'cookie sticks" from the local craft store.  They are wrapped with a cellophane bags and ties with jute and hemp to protect any scrapbook projects!

Falling For You Pop Up Card for Joyful Stars September Blog Hop

Welcome to the Joyful Stars September Blog Hop.  Thank you for joining us today.  It is a circular hop so you can start anywhere.  When you get back to the first blog, you will know when you are finished.  You can find a complete list of participants HERE on Joyce's Blog.  If you have come from Krista's Blog, you are on the right track.    Since fall is my favorite time of year, I decided to use the brand new Falling for You Paper Packet.  This card is called a Free Standing Pop Up Card and you can find a tutorial for it on Splitcoaststampers.  My card is a bit larger, so I changed the size of the card.  I will give you the actual measurements I used for the Sunflower Card at the end of this post.
I just love the cheerful leaves and flowers on this paper!  The sunflower is on page 7 of the Flower Market booklet.  It is Flower 1 cut in Saffron and Flower 1 Shift cut in Goldrush.  Flower 2 is the center of the flower cut in Expresso.  All elements are cut at 6.5".  I used a piece of clear plastic/acetate for the tag and used Liquid Glass to adhere the sentiment Thankful to the plastic.  Liquid Glass is the perfect adhesive to use on any 3-D item or project that will be handled often.

Here is a photo of the card folded flat to fit into the envelope:

As I mentioned previously, this card is a little larger than a regular size card and requires a 5 x 7 envelope.  The recipient can pull the sunflower and the card "pops up".

The base of the card (leaf and flower paper) is 4" x 12".  Score the base at 1, 3,  4, 6, 8, 9 and 11 inches.  The Clear plastic "tag" is 6 1/4" x 2".

If you have not had an opportunity to see the brand new Holiday Expressions book, you can view it as well as the Annual Inspirations online HERE.
