Chelsea Gardens For Joyful Stars January Blog Hop

Happy New Year and welcome to the Joyful Stars January Blog Hop.  If you have come from Krista's Blog, then you are on the right track.  With the new year, comes a new Seasonal Expressions.  There are beautiful new paper packs, stamp sets and lots of other fun products.   You can view it HERE.
Today, I have a card made using one of the new papers and stamps.  The paper is called Chelsea Gardens and the colors are a beautiful mix of greys, blues and greens.  The pattern is old one
(2014) from Deconstructed Sketches.  I wanted the card to have a lot of layers to showcase the pattern papers.  The card is actually an anniversary card for my in-laws who are celebrating their 69th Anniversary!  It would make a beautiful wedding or shower card too.

The base layer is a piece of cardstock that I painted with our watercolor paints to mimic the colors of Chelsea Gardens. I used the shimmer brush instead of a paintbrush so the painted paper has slight shimmer.  Sorry, it does not show in the photos.  I also used it on the butterfly too.

I just love these gorgeous papers.

Now it is off to Andrea's Blog.  Happy Hopping!
