Joyful Stars August Blog Hop

Welcome to the Joyful Stars August Blog Hop.  I'm so glad that you joined us this month.  If you have come from Nancy's Creatively Artsy Blog, then you are on the right track.  It is a circular hop so you can start anywhere and finish when you get back to the first blog.  We have so many fantastic new products to show you.  It was really hard to choose.  I have a card for you using the new Exclusive CTMH Cricut Cartridge Artistry and the Zoe paper pack.  The cartridge has 700 images (just like our other cartridges) and is great for both cardmaking and scrapbooking.

It is an easel card that uses the cake overlay (Icon-1 shift) on page 18 of the Artistry booklet.  The cake overlay is backed with Zoe B & T paper and Coral Glitter trim.  The sentiment is Shape and Shape Shift Shift on page 19 of the booklet.  It is mounted using mounting tape so the card will stand.

I really like the colors and patterns of the Zoe paper.  These products are available right now!  No need to wait until the new Idea Book is available on September 1st.
Please contact me if you have any questions or need help with anything.

Now it is time to hop over to Andrea's Blog.

Zoe Card and Some Brand New Products

Spring and Summer have been so busy that I have not had time to be creative. I have had fun - just not creative fun.  Close to My Heart has some great new products that are sure to inspire everyone's creativity.  I just received the brand new Cricut Cartridge called Artisrty along with the paper packet Zoe and the August Stamp of the Month.  Of course, it did not take long before the table was covered with paper, glue and stamps! So now I finally have a card to show you today that uses all three new products.
I just love the colors and patterns in the Zoe Paper Pack!
The new Artistry Cricut Cartridge is full of new images for both cards and scrapbook projects.
The most exciting news is that all these products are available right now!  Be sure to contact me if you have any questions or need help with anything.

Joyful Stars May Blog Hop

Welcome to the Joyful Stars blog hop this month.  If you have come from my friend Joyce's blog, then you are on the right track.  Spring has finally arrived here in the northeast so I'm in the mood for flowers.   The colors in Close to My Heart's new Blossom Paper Pack, X7196B, are perfect for any Spring project. The card base which is a flower pot, is simple to make.  I have seen many versions of this card.  The dimensions used here allow the card to fit in a standard A2 size envelope.  This card would make a great get well card too.

The base is a piece of background and texture paper cut 3 1/2" x 7" and scored at 2 3/4" from one end and scored 1 1/2" from the other end.  Then fold as shown below.
Use the Scallop Border Punch  Z1851 to add a scallop edge to the 1 1/2" edge.
With the card folded, measure  3/8" from each edge and cut on the diagonal to create the pot shape.

Fold the card base and tie a ribbon around the top edge of the flower pot.  No gluing necessary!  (Ribbon from JoAnn Fabrics)
The insert is white cardstock cut 3 3/4" x 2 1/4" adhered to a piece of
Sweet Leaf Cardstock cut 4" x 2 1/2".  Then just add flowers. to the top of the insert.  I added some to the edge of the pot too.  The flowers are made using C1612 Shower Flowers, C1538 Girls Rock and the Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge.  The insert is stamped using D1560 Holiday Tags.

This photo shows each piece separately.
Simply slide the insert into the flower pot and Ta Da - your card is complete!
Let me know if you have any questions.
Thank you for hopping with us this month.
Now it is time to hop on over to my friend Krista's Blog to see her wonderful creation.

Joyful Stars April Blog Hop

Happy Spring and welcome to the Joyful Stars April Blog Hop.  If you have arrived here from Joyce's Blog, then you are on the right track.  It is a circular blog, so you can start anywhere along the way and click through until you arrive back at the first blog.  Today, I made a Thank You card using a background from the CTMH Artbooking Cartridge.  This cartridge was primarily designed to make scrapbooking layouts and mini albums, however, many of the elements are great for other projects too.  You can see another card using an overlay from Artbooking HERE.

The white lattice is found on page 50 in the Artbooking Booklet.  It is cut at 8" Relative dial size and it fits perfectly across the card.  The other elements are found on the Art Philosophy Cartridge.  The flowers are on page 50 and cut at 1/2" in Sorbet Cardstock.  The leaves and branch are found on page 35.  The sentiment frame is on page 25 was cut at 1 1/2" in White Cardstock and then again at 1 3/4" in Glacier Cardstock. The stamp set is D1542 "For A Friend".

Thank you for joining us today.
Now it is time to hop to Krista's Blog to see her wonderful creation.
If you are local to Southeast PA, check out the events tab - there are two all day crops coming up.  One on May 2 to celebrate National Scrapbooking Day and one on June 6 to benefit the American Cancer Society Relay For Life.  Seating is limited so reserve your spot soon!
