Kaleidoscope Birthday Card

As soon as I saw C1647 - A Bunch of Love stamp set and coordinating Thin Cuts in the Seasonal Expressions 2, I went online and ordered it immediately.  I just love the versatility of these stamps.  As soon as they arrived, I stamped the flower bunch dozens of times  on White Daisy cardstock and cut them with the thin cuts.  They can coordinate with any paper, just by changing the color of the flowers.  And they can be used for just about any occasion, simply by changing the sentiment.
The card is Pear cardstock and Kaleidoscope Background and Texture Paper.  I used Shin Han markers to color the flowers.  The papers are only available until the end of July and the stamps and thin cuts will retire on August 31.

June Joyful Stars Blog Hop

Welcome to the Joyful Stars June Blog Hop.  Thank you for joining us today.  If you have come from Debi's Blog then you are on the right track.  It is a circular hop, so you can start at any blog and click through until you get back to the first blog. Then you will know you have seen all the posts.  You can find a list of all the participants on Joyce's Blog.
My project uses images from the soon to be discontinued Artiste Cricut cartridge.  Three of the CTMH exclusive Cricut Cartridges - Art Philosophy, Artiste and Artfully Sent, will no longer be available after July 31.  They are only available "While Supplies Last" so be sure to contact your consultant to order yours if you don't already own them.
My project this month is a favor for a bridal shower or possibly for a "dress up" party.  This would make a great favor for a "princess party" too.  It uses the Artiste cartridge for the dress, box, rolled rose and bow.  This cartridge is very versatile and has 700 images and is perfect for making all kinds of boxes, bags and favors for any event.  It also contains tons of images you can use on cards and scrapbook pages.   I originally saw this on Pinterest a long time ago, but since I am currently locked out of my Pinterest account, I can't give credit to the original stamper.

The dress is Accent 2 on page 41 at 6" on relative size.  The dress was embossed using the Confetti Embossing Folder.  Part of the top of the dress and a waistband were cut using White Glitter Paper.  The "box" in the back to hold the treats is 3-D Object on page 80 cut at 1 1/2".  Here is the back of the favor that shows the box with the treat bag.
Here is another version using the Kaleidoscope Background and Texture Paper.

The bow at the waist is found on page 55 of the Artiste booklet.  It is cut in three pieces: Accent 2 and Shift and Accent 3 all cut at 1/2".
Products used in this project:
Z3170 Artiste Exclusive CTMH Cricut Cartridge
Z3118 Confetti Embossing Folder
X7202B Kaleidoscope Background and Texture Paper
1385 White Daisy Cardstock
Z3076 Gold Glitter Paper (I used the white glitter paper)
String of pearls is from my stash

I hope you have enjoyed our blog hop this month and be sure to stop back again next month on July 10th.  Now it is time to hop to Krista's Blog to see her wonderful creation this month.

Color Dare 194 Watercolor Card for Dad

After checking out the color challenge this week, I decided the colors Sapphire, Pacifica, Crystal Blue, White and Black would be perfect to make some masculine cards.  My card stash for guys is just about empty so I need to get creating some to have on hand.  I decided to use a background image from Artistry.  It is on page 7 and I think it was cut at 3 1/4" using Black Cardstock.  I cut off a few triangles to make a more varied shape rather than a square.  The background of the card is Watercolor Paper painted with three blue colors from Z3132 Watercolor Paints that are very close to the challenge colors.  For a bit more depth and dimension in the background, I stamped D1660 Ink Blot using Sapphire Ink.  The sentiment is from C1633 For Family and the DAD is stamped using B1484 Jennifer's Hand both in Sapphire Ink. One done and about 10 to go - I better get stamping...

Hop on over to the Color Dare Blog for some more great inspiration!

Happy Times Paper for Color Dare 192 and Mojo Monday 447

Here is a card I created using the Close To My Heart National Scrapbooking Promotional paper, Happy Times.  I used the Mojo Monday Sketch 447 for inspiration and the Happy Times paper just happens to be the same as the colors in the Color Dare this week, which are Fern, Cotton Candy, Canary, Glacier and White.

In addition to the Happy Times Background and Texture Paper, it uses both Canary and Fern Cardstock.  The Canary circles were texturized using Z1994 Floral Embossing Folder.

The card uses the brand new stamp set C1649 A Bunch of Love and Z3251, the coordinating Thin Cuts Dies.  I also used the new Z3224 Medium Round Waterbrush to color the flowers.

Joyful Stars May 2016 Blog Hop

Welcome to the Joyful Stars May Blog Hop.  If you have come from Krista's Blog, you are on the right track.  It is a circular hop, so you just hop from one blog to the next until you reach the blog you saw first.  Then you will know you have seen them all.    I wanted to make a special thank you card so here is a card made using the image of glasses (Icon-2) from page 40 of the Cricut Artistry Cartridge.

I edited it in the Cricut Craft Room to make a card.
The inside of the card has two small folded pieces of X7202B  Kaleidoscope Background and Texture Paper.  This pattern is adapted from the old "explosion" card inside.  If you would like instructions, just google "explosion card" and you will find plenty of tutorials if you are interested.  The "glass" front is a paper I found at Michael's Craft Store.  The words are stamped using the Close To My Heart font B1484 Jennifer's Hand.  The word (spec) tacular is part of a stamp from Endless Creations.  The stamp says "hope your day is (spec) tacular, but I just used the word (spec) tacular.

Hope you are enjoying the hop.  Be sure to visit all the other participating consultants.
You can find a complete list of participants on Joyce's Blog if you get lost along the way.
Hope you had a Happy Mother's Day!
Now it is time to hop to Donna's Blog.
