Cupcake Birthday Card

Here is a cute birthday card using the adorable new stamp set, B1532 Sweet Birthday.  It is another set that I had to purchase as soon as I saw it.  

 The texture papers are from Z3255 Whimsy Fundamentals.  The cupcake is colored using Shin Han Alcohol Markers.  I love the cute little face on the cupcake.

  My card uses the new CTMH Whimsy and Adventure Fundamental Exclusive paper.  The final product is not anything like what I originally intended, but it would make a cute Valentine card so maybe I have something prepared way in advance!

 
 
 The card features the new Whimsy and Adventure Fundamentals and the new Cricut Flower Market Collection.  The heart wreath is on page 42 of the booklet and was cut at 2" in Willow Cardstock.  The "berries" are made using a mini hole punch.

Sweet Sixteen Card In A Box

This is a special card for my sweet great niece who was celebrating her 16th birthday.  The card base and some of the elements are cut using the exclusive Box Card Die from The Stamps of Life purchased at the Creating Keepsakes Convention. The die contains so many  fantastic pieces and it is  easy to put together.

I added some translucent very fine "Easter Grass" as a filler.  This card can be folded to fit in an envelope for mailing.  Here is a side view:

Joyful Stars August Blog Hop

We have so many exciting new products, it was hard to choose just one to use!  Of course I decided to use Flower Market, the new Close To My Heart Exclusive Cricut Cartridge.

It is a get well card-in-a-box.  The flowers are so easy to make and they turn out so beautiful too!

I planned to sponge the same color on the daisies but I was so excited with all the beautiful flowers that I forgot and put them together.  Sponging with the same color in gives them more depth.

Mojo Monday 459 on Sunday

I first saw the sketch on Monday but did not have time to create until later in the week, so here it is almost time for the next sketch!   

I went to the Creating Keepsakes Convention last weekend in Lancaster and could not resist this stamp. It is from Art Impressions and says "The greatest gift we can receive in life is a true friend."

The bold stripes are painted on watercolor paper and the stamp is colored in with Shin-Han alcohol markers. The bold stripes are then outlined using a fine point marker.

Flamingo Birthday Card

I am sharing a birthday card made with X7210B Calypso Background Paper and Picture My Life Cards.  The cards, which can also be used for pocket scrapbooking, are now included with each paper packet.  It is a 5 x 7 size card.  The three small flamingos are on the PML card and the larger one was cut and stamped with C1651 Tickled Pink stamp set.
