May All Day Crop Fun

Thanks to everyone who joined us today at Bethel Hill Church.  We had lots of fun - inspiring each other.  That is what I love most about getting together to craft - all the ideas and inspiration we share!  Here are just a few of the beautiful handcrafted items from today.

This is a beautiful card made by Sue.  The colors are much prettier in person, but you can get the general idea.  She is fairly new to stamping so she borrowed my CTMH "How To" card making books.  She was inspired by a pattern on page 53 of the Wishes book called "Delightful Dots".  Then she looked through her paper and borrowed a few of my stamps and  just look at her creation!  Sure looks like she has been stamping for quite a while to me.

The next project is something I made to give everyone that attended.  It is a tiny little box cut with the Artiste cartridge using Ivy Lane Paper.
When Sue H saw my little box she was inspired to create a larger version for a gift.  She used a discontinued CTMH paper called Roxie.  The colors are just beautiful!

Sorry, I neglected to take photos of other projects, but you get the idea of how we can all inspire creativity in each other.
We will be holding another All Day Crop at Bethel Hill Church on Saturday July 19, 2014 from 10AM to 5PM.  The cost is only $10 for an entire day of uninterrupted crafting time!  Please contact me at scrapbookgirl2@gmail.com if you would like to join the fun.  Space is limited.

Anniversary Card

Here is an anniversary card I made recently.  It uses the Balloon Ride paper pack.  The card is a swing card cut from the Artiste Cartridge.  It is Accent 1 on page 52 of the booklet.  There a NINE different swing cards on the Artiste cartridge.  The coordinating shape was cut using the Art Philosophy cartridge in Sorbet Cardstock.  It was cut at 2 1/4" and is found on page 62 of the booklet. The numbers were also cut using Art Philosophy.

The inside uses the coordinating oval shape from Art Philosophy.  Happy Anniversary is from the retired stamp set B1303 Golden Years.  The celebrate is from B1417 Perfect Fit Birthday.
This card would also make a great birthday card by using the recipients age on the front.  Please let me know if you have any questions or need help with anything.

Welcome to the Joyful Stars May Blog Hop.  If you are coming from  Krista's Blog, you are on the right path.  If you get lost along the way, just go to Joyce's Blog for a complete list of participants.Today, I'm excited to share a "Sweet" card.  It was intended as a birthday card, but you can also use it as a Mother's Day card just by changing the sentiment inside.  The card was inspired by one on Pinterest at KB Papercrafts here

The cupcakes and scroll sign were cut using the Artiste Cartridge.  The scallop border was cut using Art Philosophy.  The awning uses our new striped embossing folder and then was swiped with Lagoon Ink.  If you would like more detailed cutting information, just leave a comment and I will send you the details.

Here is a peek at the inside.  The frame is cut using the Art Philosophy Cartridge.  You could change the sentiment to use it for a Mother's Day card.
Thanks for visiting this month. Now hop on over to Helen's Blog to see her wonderful creation.
Happy Mother's Day to all the Moms too!

Joyful Stars April Blog Hop

 photo JoyfulStarsBlogHopBadge3_zpsa824a544.jpg

Welcome to the Joyful Stars Blog Hop.  I'm so glad you are able to join us today.  If you arrived from Joyce's Blog, then you are on the right track.  I hope we inspire you with our Spring and Easter projects.  Today I have a card made using the Lollydoodle Paper.  I bet you could have guessed that, couldn't you?

The "basket" holding the flowers is made by folding a square piece of double sided Background and Texture Paper in half on the diagonal.  The pattern used for the basket is on the outside.  This card is a standard card (4 1/4 x 5 1/2) and the square was cut at 5".  You can make your basket any size you like.
Fold the right bottom corner over to the left side of the triangle.

Next, fold the left bottom corner over to the right side.

Then fold the top triangles down - one toward the front and one toward the back.

And there you have it!  A cute little basket that you can fill with all kinds of goodies.  It would make a great Easter basket with a little filler and some eggs.  The Art Philosophy cartridge has some cute eggs on page 57 of the booklet.  Flowers in the basket make a great Mother's Day card.  I cut the flowers by hand from the Loolydoodle flower pattern paper and mounted some of them with mounting tape to give the card dimension.  You could also cut flowers using the Art Philosophy cartridge or you could use silk flowers too.  To finish off the flap, I cut a border in Sweet Leaf and adhered it to the edge.  The border is on page 62 of the Art Philosophy booklet - it is the font button cut at 1" and then cut in half.  The white layer of the card base is made with the new CTMH "Dot" Embossing Folder.  This pattern reminds me of "Dotted Swiss" fabric.
Please let me know if you have any questions or need any help with anything.
Thanks for visiting.
Now it is time to hop on over to Crystal's Blog to see her new creation.

Another Lollydoodle Card

I hope you are not getting tired of seeing cards using the Lollydoodle paper because it seems like I'm addicted to this paper!  The colors are so cheerful, they make me think of SPRING!  This pattern is one that I "stamplifted" from the CTMH 2013 Spring/Summer Idea Book. It was on page 102 and made using the Claire Paper.  This pattern is great for using up some of those beautiful scraps leftover from other projects.  If you would like the instructions and cutting measurements, leave a comment at the end of this post and I will send them to you.

The flower and leaf were cut using the Artiste Cartridge.  The flower was stamped using C1540 Hello Blooms stamp set.  Mounting tape was applied to the flower to give the card some dimension.

Above is the same card using Chantilly Paper.  Below is one using Avonlea Paper.
Happy Stamping!
