Welcome to the Joyful Stars May Blog Hop. I'm glad you could join us this month. If you came from Michelle's Blog then you are on the right track. If you get lost along the way, you will find a complete list of participants HERE on Joyce's Blog. Today, I have a home decor project to share with you. We needed some artwork for our newly remodeled bathroom. I could not find the right color combination and size so I decided to try my hand at making them. The designs are overlays from the CTMH Artbooking Cricut Cartridge. The arrow design is found on page 82 of the booklet. The overlay was cut in a dark gray and then cut again using the coordinating colors.
The circle design was another Artbooking overlay found on page 45 of the booklet. I used Cricut Craft Room to "stretch" the design. I wanted it to look a bit mid-century modern. The frames are molded dark gray from AC Moore. Once I found the right color combination, they went together quite quickly.
The colors used are Pear, Lagoon, Whisper and Pacifica. The dark gray and printed background are from a paper pack in my stash. They look great in the bathroom and I am working on a valance for the window. The valance will be similar to the Pear color with some grey trim.
Time to hop on over to Marie's Blog to see her creation this month.
