Joyful Stars October Blog Hop

Welcome to the October Joyful Stars Blog Hop.  I'm so glad you can join us this month.  If you have arrived here from Joyce's Blog then you are on the right track.  Since receiving the new Exclusive CTMH Artfully Sent Cartridge, I have been making cards non-stop.  With over 400 different card projects  and 700 images to choose from, it is hard to pick just one to show you.  I decided on a Halloween card.
This card is found on page 44 of the booklet.  It is a "Scene" card that is cut in Slate Cardstock at the recommended 7" which means the card is a 5 x 7 size card.  The inside is the coordinating "Scene Shift" piece also cut at 7" but in Black Cardstock.  To add some depth to the house, I cut a strip of paper and used it as a mask to sponge Slate ink to make it look like siding.  I also sponged a bit of White Daisy ink on the house to make it look distressed.  Then, I sponged more White Daisy on the inside to make it look like a spooky, cloudy sky.  You can just cut some clouds freehand to use as a mask to sponge around or you can cut some using the cartridge.  Check out the "Scene Shift" on page 3 of the booklet.  If you cut that piece, you will have clouds to use as a mask.
This close up of the front shows the sponging and the windows.  The round windows are backed with Canary Cardstock.  I backed the other windows with some crinkled plastic to look like cracked windows.
Hope you have enjoyed this Artfully Sent card.  Check back soon because I will be posting more cards next week.  Please let me know if you have any questions.  Now it is off to Jolene's Blog to see what she has created this month.
